Biography of Rani Johnson
Chief Information Officer at Lower Colorado River Authority
Rani Johnson is the Chief Information Officer at Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA). LCRA supplies cost-effective electricity for Central Texas, manages the water supplies for the lower Colorado River basin, provides public parks, and supports community development in 58 Texas counties. Ms. Johnson is an enthusiastic, strategic and goal-oriented technology leader hyper-focused on innovation, solving business problems and effective project & service delivery.
Prior to joining LCRA, Rani led the IT project management team at Austin Energy, was the Director of R&D / Project Office at Ventyx – ABB and was the Director of Technology Operations at E2open (a Silicon Valley start up). Rani has a wealth of sales and product management experience gained during years at Intel Corporation. Her most proud accomplishment is that she has code deployed on the International Space Station from her work as a software developer at NASA – Johnson Space Center. Rani holds dual degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Spelman College and Georgia Institute of Technology.
